Hello all, new member here, I joined up after seeing SOA fb page, this years gathering in Pa caught my attention. I wasn't able to attend because my floors were out so I could weld in new ones. I live in CT and have owned my current Scrambler since 2005 that I purchased off Ebay, I bought it to replace my rusted out beater of an 82 Scrambler which was too far gone to drive or repair. I sold that one for $2000 back in 2005. I probably should have kept it, it'd be worth a lot of money today lol. My current 8 was daily driven from 05 to 12 at which time I decided I couldn't watch it deteriorate anymore and had to by a Silverado to dd. So it became a fairweather driver in 12 and by 17 I blew up my 20 rear end and that's when I decided to start a rebuild/restmod. It started in 17 and has not ended, the details on Jeep forum but the highlights include tearing everything off down to the frame, nut and bolt, swapping in a LM7 5.3 out of a Tahoe along with a 4l60e, floor pans and more. Anyway, I will post more when I can but I look forward to learning more about this community.

Welcome. Great looking Scrambler! My 82 was that color. Sounds like you did quite a rebuild. Would love to see pics.

Yes welcome, your Jeep in photo appears to be Copper Brown, same as mine (1981). Like the wheels you have chosen.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you couldn’t make it to the National, but look forward to meeting you at some Scrambler event down the line with that rig finished

Hi, the style belongs on earlier CJ's but I like the simple lines, thanks. That is a 16 yr old repaint. When I got it from Ca it was white. I chose Daytona Orange off the Chevy lot back then, I liked the way it popped and it was close in color to my 82 scrambler so I wanted to duplicate that. It is a great jeep color.
